After completing his studies, he served with the Malaysia Cooperative Development Department for seven years, supervising and regulating cooperative societies across several districts. His final role was Assistant Director of Cooperative Development for Selangor. He then served for seven years as an assistant manager at an electrical contracting company, with responsibilities including electrical wiring, street-lighting installation and maintenance, and building electrical systems.
